I had attempted to repair it myself without success due to the weight and awkwardness of a heavy solid door. “We recently had visits from two fellas for two different issues our property management folks hired Nashville Handyman for. Warren came out to clean gutters, and cheerfully made a second visit when our landlord’s poor description of the work cause him to need a ladder for the back. He was just the middle man and handled the situation like a champ. Work was done the same week and well.
Malcolm also recently visited to do a couple of door knob replacements. Quick, knew exactly what he was doing. Friendly dude, too!
Warren is younger and more “hipster” cool and Malcom is a older than me (but not “old!”) and clearly knows what’s up. Both were good examples for their peers and pleasant to work with, showing a nice spectrum of team members involved.

“When we moved into our new house, we gradually built up a list of tasks that we needed completed, but neither of us had the skills to do a quality job. I was so glad to find Nashville Handyman. They sent three handymen who completed all of the tasks perfectly. “Several weeks ago I walked out on to my deck and it literally collapsed beneath my feet. Since the deck was twenty-six years old, its demise came as no surprise. I called several contractors and the only one who responded was Chad at Nashville Handyman. He sent his project manager out to the house and he worked with me in designing the new replacement deck. About a week later Chad sent me a cost estimate and I accepted his proposal. A couple of weeks later, at 8:00 in the morning a truck load of lumber, the project manager and two carpenters were at my house ready to go to work.
The desk is finished and it is beautiful! The two carpenters, Ben and Joe, did an outstanding job! The workmanship is impeccable, they were on the job every day on time and worked into the late afternoon for about a week…sometimes even in the rain! My wife and I could not be happier with the results.

This time he replaced my kitchen fluorescent light with an LED fixture. While he was there he noticed the stain on my “popcorn ceiling”, he said he could fix that too. Having recently moved into a new place, I had alot of things that needed to be hung… being a single (and not at all strong) female, I for sure needed help hanging some heavy things! I called The Nashville Handyman to help me with hanging a medicine cabinet (super heavy!), a big mirror, and a TV mount.
They were super responsive when I reached out, and were easy to find time for them to come to my house.
The gentleman who came to do the work was super nice, and super fast, and did a great job! What took him an hour would have taken me DAYS of struggle and strife! I am so thankful for him. He not only hung everything, but he also explained things as he was doing, which was great– seeing as I’m useless when it comes to anything house related 🙂
I will for sure be calling up these guys again for future projects… and i’m sure some will come up sooner rather than later!

“I wrote a review on the Nashville Handyman back Spring 2017 regarding a full renovation of a 1625sq ft condo in Nashville. The renovation was extensive as the previous owner had not touched anything for decades. To cut to the chase, Chad and his crew were exceptional and trustworthy. How trustworthy? We live in Virginia, 10 hours away. We had not met Chad, but saw his reviews and thought he was a good match. We did a FaceTime interview and we were hooked – he is simply a good guy, very genuine. In the last few days of renovation, his crew worked on every last punch list item as though it was their own house. They have a lot of pride in their work and wanted us happy. Chad hires good people. Fast forward to today, Feb 2018. We had a frozen pipe and water damage in the kitchen area in January. The condo association repaired the broken pipe and their guy put us 43rd on his list of client repairs. The flooring was gone… cabinets removed from wall…drywall holes. I texted Chad less than two weeks ago. Got replacement flooring over the weekend… and today (Monday) the kitchen is back together again like the day my daughter moved in. I also want to add we’ve had minor things pop up like washing machine issues and bath tub ceramic soap dish replacement and he is responsive on the small items too. We are planning on selling the condo and are considering doing another flip in Nashville just because of Chad (no joke).”

“Quick answer: Hands down, Chad is trustworthy and does quality work! Long answer: My wife and I purchased a 1625 sq ft condo in Nashville that needed COMPLETE renovation. We shopped around and talked with several highly qualified companies. Since this was a long distance renovation, we were looking for someone extra trustworthy. We FaceTimed with Chad from Virginia and knew we found the right man! He is smart, experienced, super nice with a warm smile. Within days, he visited the condo and provided a very detailed quote. Over a period of a few months, his crew removed the popcorn ceiling, repaired surfaces, painted walls, repaired water damaged walls and trim, replaced all receptacles and switches, modified a structural wall (opened up floor plan), repaired broken drawers in cabinetry in kitchen and bathrooms, replaced toilets, replaced all faucets, replaced vents, installed laminate flooring throughout, replaced all hardware kitchen cabinetry, installed all new appliances, kitchen tiled backsplash with custom insets, towel racks, rekeyed locks, installed smoke detectors, rebuild crushed dryer vent within wall, tiled shower insets (x2), and probably countless other details – basically went from awful to move-in-ready. We are so happy. I met his crew just prior to move in during the last few days of the reno and I can’t tell you how nice they were! They explained all kinds of things they did, obviously proud of their work and more importantly, proud to work for Chad. All interactions with Chad were transparent and equitable. “I met with Chad one morning and had to call him back for immediate service that afternoon. The water filter under the sink was not only leaking, but spraying water everywhere. He sent someone out immediately to fix it and then scheduled a date for the rest of the work to be done. He was great to work with and such a nice young man along with his staff. We could not be happier with his work.. Very professional and came when he said he would be there!
He and his staff:
1. Installed new water filter under sink.
2. Adjusted the front door so it would close.
3. Placed floor jacks under house to stabilize dining room.
4. Replaced back door screens and installed screen guard.
5. Unstuck windows.

Earlier this year, he and his team completed a large number of repairs and structural improvements in our crawl space that had been suggested by a structural engineer when we purchased the house. His estimate was half of what was estimated by two local structural repair companies and the work was outstanding.
